The Family Flag
A day to fly the flag for peace, love and prayer in churches all over the United States.
A time to celebrate the sanctity of the family; it does not matter how big or small your family may be, it is still God's gift to this earth.
A time to gather and reflect on God's grace, appreciation and love.
We have Mother's Day-appreciating sacrifice and love.
We have Father's Day-appreciating hard love and sacrifice;
And Parent's Day, the latest holiday for families -
a time of recognition of couples for their dedication;
And now, Family Day-recognizing every member of the family as being very important for their contribution to uphold the family as the most valuable highest creation in God's realm of love.
Strong families make strong communities;
strong communities centered on high values
and morals make a world of peace and love.
Hang or fly the flag to remind us of God's gift to us.
![]() The Meaning of Flying the Family Federation Flag
The Meaning of the Symbol
The sun at the top represents God and His love shining upon the family. The family members, father, mother, sons, and daughters, are embracing and yet open to the world. Their gracefulness is almost as if they are dancing. The elders shelter the younger ones; the younger ones uplift the elders.
In the center is a heart, symbolizing the dimensions of God's love expressed within the family: parental love, conjugal love, brother-sister love and children's love. As Christ is God incarnate, so the family is meant to embody His love. God dwells within the family through these diverse yet harmonious expressions of true love.
The Meaning of Flying the Flag
By flying the Family Federation flag, religious institutions express their support for marriage and family life as the foundation for human health and happiness, vibrant congregations, and a prosperous and peaceful community.
The church, mosque or synagogue is stating that it is on the side of marriage and family in these troubled times. It stands as a refuge for parents seeking to nurture their children in a safe environment, for singles searching for purity in a partner, and for eiders seeking to stand up for these values.
