1. Conversational German for Beginners and Intermediate
Students Enjoy learning those basic German phrases that help you to get around.
We will use the "German with Ease" method that emphasizes simple
conversation and comprehension through repetition. We will also have group
discussions using newspaper articles, magazines and excerpts from German
literature. 2. Conversational French for Beginners and Intermediate
Students Beginners and those with previous knowledge will enjoy the
"French with Ease" approach and find ample opportunity to learn
those phrases that help you in a very practical way to feel comfortable among
French speaking people. 3. Conversational Spanish I (Beginners) An excellent opportunity to start the adventure of learning a new
language. Learn basic conversation and grammar. 4. Conversational Spanish II (Intermediate and
Advanced Students) A great opportunity to brush up on your Spanish skills. We will use
mainly conversation and some grammar. This approach focuses on learning the
language through conversation, repetition and application to
real life situations. 5. Microsoft Word - Basic through Intermediate Discover how easy and how much fun it is to use Microsoft Word. You
will learn how to create and edit professional letters that will help you to fulfill your goals in life. This course provides hands on
practice teaching you skills and tricks for creating tables, flyers,
brochures, business forms, greeting cards, certificates and more to speed up
your everyday tasks. No previous computer knowledge required. 6. Microsoft PowerPoint - Basic through Intermediate Present ideas to friends, co-workers and clients, and have a blast
while doing it by using Microsoft Power Point. You will easily learn how to
animate your slides, add notes and charts, and change the look and feel of
your presentations. Learn also how to add video files for your presentations.
This hands-on course will help you make your presentations look professional
and blow away your audience! Prerequisite: Be familiar with Microsoft Word. 7. Philosophy for Everyday Life
The usefulness of philosophical principles for daily life situations
is explored. We will focus on the Socratic method to develop the habit of
self-examination and to build a universally valid value system. 8. Life after Life We will explore the ever-increasing evidence for the existence of the
spiritual world. Among many sources, we will also discuss Dr. Raymond Moody's
best seller Life after Life. 9. World Views and Values Our view of the world and our lives leads to a vision that involves
the ethical question of how to act according to clearly defined values. Responding
to our search for meaning then becomes the first step for developing sound
moral guidelines.
